Hi i read your story. I want to tell my story. I have been searching job for one year. Unfortunetaly, i did not find. I am from Turkey. Turkey has a big unemployment problem. All of young peoples can not find a job. Even though they graduate reputable university, they can not find it. Turkey has not a good situation for fresh graduates. Turkey economy is getting lose power everyday. When i was a student at University, i have a lots of hopes. However, They can not be happen:( It affects my mood. I have no resistance more:( My family, friends i dont want to meet none of them:( I want to give a little information about Turkey's job part. If you don't have any reference, you will not job. It is not important which university you graduate, experience. One thing is important that ''reference''. Turkish word ''torpil''. Especially i have so gloomy story, but i can not write for cry now...

Thank you for creating a haven for sharing-I’m unemployed despite the fact that I enjoy working, enjoy smiles, and routine that builds skills. My FACE (maybe) creates obstacles-especially with females, yet I can’t find a guy willing to date-even occasionally. I’m 49 this year, never married, no kids and my folks are becoming more frail. I don’t choose my battles wisely, because I was thought if a person remains truthful and diligent-people would naturally enjoy having me on their team-I’ve been sabotaged for unspoken reasons-despite going make up free-and feedback is that I’m some “threat” job wise or I “act fake” (??!!!) Nobody assists me to understand what the heck they are talking about. I’ve worked as a nurse most of my life and just want to care for folks, but it would be nice to be cared about?

This is overexaggurated. I live in Serbia, and the problems you’re facing are nothing compared to an economy that has 30% unemployment rate.

Very true…I’m not quite there yet (the whole, I’ll take what I can get, stage). But I’m getting there. I’m planning on applying to the new bookstore opening up near my house. It opens around fall and that will be really good timing. Desperation will kick in. 😉

Hi there!
I recently moved from one state to another (for love) and even though I was offered a job out of college I declined to move somewhere with no connections! Unemployment sucks, no doubt about it, but one thing I can say, is never take for granted where you can get a job. I was waitressing (and hating it) and the table next to mine offered me a job, which I currently am working at 🙂 I’ve also been offered jobs at a wedding and a dance class, always put yourself out there!
